Our Code
of Ethics
NCAMP is the association for the Mortgage industry, but not everyone in the mortgage industry is a member of our Association. It is important to understand that we do not have any "policing" authority over our members or non-members if such complaints arise.
However, our Ethics committee tries
to mediate complaints between consumers and members
of our association and even non-members when our involvement
is possible. Usually, we find that most parties are
interested in resolving any issues for the benefit
of all.

NCAMP Ethics Committee Mission Statement
Our purpose is to promote the Code of Ethics as the guiding principle for all mortgage professionals within our Association and within our industry.
Our purpose is to assist in, and help to minimize, the number of complaints to the NCCOB by acting as an intermediary, or mediator, between individuals that have a material complaint about a member mortgage broker, or a non-member broker to the extent we can help.
Our purpose is to raise the level of professionalism in our industry by assisting in grievances that are in violation of our Code of Ethics, and to promote the Code of Ethics as a fundamental foundation of principles by which all mortgage professionals conduct their daily businesses. By promoting the Code of Ethics as a guiding principle for our members, we will ultimately raise the bar of professionalism in our industry.
The goal of such efforts would be
to drive out unscrupulous operators, raise the
integrity of this Association with respect to the regulators
and the public, and better serve consumers
by providing the highest level of mortgage services
and professionals to meet their needs.
